As you might have seen over the weekend, we’ve been getting some national coverage in the likes of the Mail On Sunday, Huffington Post, & Scottish Financial News over our recent research regarding SMEs and their thoughts on energy prices and providers (the original article is available here: http://bit.ly/UYmxKk).
Some of the main points to emerge from the research indicate:
- Just 36% of SME-decision-makers trust their energy providers, a figure lower than bankers (50%); however, of those, 51% are planning to change their provider in 2013, the highest figure ever recorded!
- 75% believe that their energy bills are unfair & disproportionate, and yet a whopping 36% believe they could get a better price from their existing provider.
- 71% think that the government aren’t doing enough to help them get the best possible deal from energy providers.
So, with our friends at Make It Cheaper, we’ve decided to try to help you out. If you have any questions on anything energy-related – maybe you’re one of the 51% looking to change provider, but need some help on how to do it; maybe you need some help on how to negotiate with your existing energy provider; or maybe you just want some advice on how to save energy – send us (@IngeniousBrit) or Make It Cheaper (@MakeItCheaper) a tweet between 2-3pm this Friday afternoon (January 18th) with the hashtags #PowerHour and #EnergyExperts, and we’ll do our best to help out.
As an added bonus, if you have your bills to hand, the guys at Make It Cheaper will endeavour to find out where you’ll get the best savings.
So, if you’re fed up with energy suppliers tightening the knot on small businesses, then join us on Friday!
