What we're doing
Search - Our new-improved 'Search' function selects the best possible results for whichever subject you'd like advice on: if, for example, you wanted to know about how to optimise your website for mobile technology, we have (at last count) 17 results for 'website mobile technology' for you to read up on, bookmark and share to your heart's content.
Weekly Newsletter - Our weekly newsletter contains all of the best bits from the Ingenious Britain site if you haven't got the time to peruse the website; it also contains business tips, ideas for expansion, and what's going on at Ingenious HQ. So sign up and receive all of the Ingenious goodness in one place, every week!
Social Networking - We're very active on our social networking platforms: our aim is to connect as many small businesses as we can to share tips, discussion and ideas on how to progress, both as individuals and the country as a whole. We post all of our content on the platforms, as well as news stories, advice and a bit of personality to boot. What we're particularly interested in is the community we're building on LinkedIn with our 'Networking and Support' group, in which you can not only ask us, but other businesses for advice too.
Events - As part of our 'Small Steps, Big Growth' initiative, we've hosted corporate events to discuss with small business-owners, universities, inventors and financial companies what small businesses can do to reduce wastage (of time and resources), and take those small steps which will encourage sustainable, organic growth of size and profits.
What you can do
Firstly - get involved! We've got a wealth of resources available to companies all across the business spectrum which are crying out for you to join, read and share. Sign up to the Ingenious Britain Newsletter, get a copy of the supplement, follow the Twitter (@IngeniousBrit), 'like' the Facebook, join in with our Pinterest boards, enter the discussion on the 'Ingenious Britain Networking and Support' group on LinkedIn - the possibilities are (nearly) endless!
Be philanthropic - we've already touched on this, but ultimately we'd like you to help other businesses, and for other businesses to help you. Build up relationships with other small businesses with our communities, share content (ideally ours) across social media platforms, and offer advice to others when they need it most. You never know, you may even make some beneficial leads - and friends - in the process.
Contribute - if you feel particularly strongly about a particular aspect of owning a small business, then we'd love to hear about it! Visit the 'Contribute' tab on the website, send us a pitch of the article, and we'll see what we can do. If you already write a blog, let us know! We'd love to have you on board.
And finally, just generally keep on doing what you do. During this period of stagnant and negative growth, Britain needs small businesses to thrive and we know that you can do it. Be Ingenious. Be Ingenious Britain.
